Word of Grace-Jesus is lifted up look unto him

Jesus is lifted up, look up unto him.

                                John 3:14-15, Numbers 21:4-9, John 12:21

Jesus referred himself as the picture of the snake that Moses lifted up in the wilderness. The Israelites were tormented by fiery serpent after they had despised God. But God heard their cry for forgiveness, and he asked Moses to erect a pole and hanged a bronze of snake on it so that whoever looks up to the lifted up serpent on the pole shall be healed. And truly whoever looked up got healed.

Jesus said to Nicodemus, Just as those who looked in faith to the lifted up serpent were healed, even so those who look in faith to the lifted up Jesus shall have eternal life.

Brethren, wherever we look up to Jesus we receive forgiveness of sin and healing in every area of our lives. Whoever looks unto Jesus have the sense of "I'm forgiven, I'm  healed, I'm strong and I'm a child of God. The son of man is been lifted up on the cross, whoever choose to look unto him shall receive his glory to live life in abundance all to his glorious praise. Shalom.

Word of Grace

Word of Grace-Choose to look unto Jesus

                                      Choose to look unto Jesus

                          Heb 12:2, Col 1:17, Isa 61:7 1Cor15:57, 2Cor2:14

Choosing to look unto to Jesus is a conscious effort made to personalize the finished work of our Lord and saviour Jesus.  In good days, choose to see Jesus and you would experience even much better days. In bad times still choose to see Jesus and you would experience the joy of the Lord which indeed is the strength of all who trusts in him.

As you look unto Jesus, you open up to receive hope. Whenever you choose to see Jesus you open up to receive victory. Jesus is the hope to the hopeless and victory to the vanquished. Whenever you look unto Jesus you place your days in his care. You are saying Lord, I can't handle the life you gave me but you oh Lord in you everything hold together, so hold my life.

Brethren, as we see Christ, no matter the situation, we'll get to the point where we'd strongly believe that  there's no impossibilities in our lives, for Jesus is always in our midst empowering us to get to enjoy all the inheritance he left for us. Shalom.

Word of Grace- There's beauty ahead of your ashes.

There's beauty ahead of your ashes.

                                              Isa 61:1-3, Rom 2:4,1Pet 1:3-9, Jere 31:3

In trials, lots of thoughts come into our minds. We turn  to believe that it is our sins and that God will smile on us no more. Such thoughts rob us of our hope in Christ. But then when we fall, it doesn't end there, God's grace gets us up on our feet. We may fall but it doesn't change the fact that God loves us. God still shows us love even in our mess as his goodness leads us to repentance according to his word.

When Israel was in distress, even though Isaiah pointed out to let them know that their sins had left them in that state, he went on to say that a day of favour beckons. God is merciful and his anger doesn't last forever. His mercy would locate Israel again as they look forward to the goodness of God in their captivity.

However your situation is, there is rest for you. Be hopeful, now is the hour the Lord shall bestow on you a crown of beauty instead of ashes, instead of grief you shall be filled with oil of joy. Despair no more for you shall be clothed in songs of praise.  You shall be called the tree of righteousness, planted to reveal the glorious splendor of God.  Shalom!

Word Of Grace- The Power of Christ revealed in the Garden of Gethsemane Part2

The Power of Christ revealed in the Garden of Gethsemane Part2

                               Matt 26:51-53, 1Chro 27:1-15, Heb 12:2, Isa 37:36

The truth still remains, Jesus reigns in power and by his might all things hold together. He's great and mighty, miracle worker, with wealth and fame. But have you even thought of how powerful he could have been on that night? Jesus  said, "I can call on my Father and he will send me more than 12 legions of angel to come to my aid".

According to David in 1Chronicles, one legion of army is 24000 soldiers. Now 24000 x 12 legions gives us 288000 angels. Also according to Isaiah, one angel can accounts for 185,000 people. So if we multiple 185000 by 288000 you have 53 billion and more! The world population is around 7.7Billion. These angels alone could even destroy today's world totally.

Jesus could have called for this powerful force from above to unleash fierce destruction on the entire roman army. But he chose to remained silent as he focused on the joy that was set before him. He loved us so much that he abandoned his strength for our weakness so we could live forever This is Jesus, the all powerful! Shalom.

Word Of Grace-The power of Christ revealed in the Garden of Gethsemane Part1.

The power of Christ revealed in the Garden of Gethsemane Part1.

                     Matthew 26:51-53, 28:17-18, 1Pet 5:8,9, Ex 15:2-4, Rev 5:5

After his resurrection, the glorious Jesus received all authority. He told his disciples, my Father has given me all authority. This tells us that, there's no power left for the devil. The bible records, the devil goes round roaring like a lion, but he's not. The real lion is the glorious Jesus, the Lion of the tribe of Judah. He's the Lord of Host.

Also Jesus as a man had immense power that could have resisted his arrest on that night in the garden of Gethsemane. The 12 Legions of Angels that he talked about could over power even this world totally. But he chose to remained silent for our sake. His purpose was not  to wage war but to save the world through his death. When one of the disciples tried to resist his arrest, he said if I needed any help I could have asked my Father to give me more than 12 Legions of Angels to come to my rescue.

The power of Jesus can't be denied. As we identify ourselves with him we will also be empowered. He gives us enough security. Our God is trustworthy for he is mighty in power. Shalom!

Word of Grace-Receiving the fullness of Christ

                                        Receive the fullness of Christ

                          John 1:3, 16, Eph 1:23, colosians 1:16, Acts 6:8

The word of God, Jesus is the gracious redeemer! By the word everything came into being. There's absolute nothing that was created without him. He is the one who holds everything together.  Through him grace and truth came so that whoever receives him shall have his life in full.

God wants us to live gracefully. When we see Christ in every situation we experience these divine graces; grace upon grace, grace behind the grace, grace after grace, grace to grace and  grace from grace. What this means is that you will experience undeserved and unmerited favours,  uncommon goodness and unusual kindness when you're Christ conscious.

But I depended on the grace of God but to no avail? Brethren, God's time is the best. My joy is found in knowing that in the fullness of time, God sent his son to  redeemed us from bondage. As you receive the fullness if Christ, very soon you shall experience total redemption from any bondage. Your breakthrough is just around the corner so stay faithfully in the grace. Shalom.

Word of Grace-His power is made perfect in our weakness.

His power is made perfect in our weakness.

                                      2 Cor 12:9, Heb 4:15-16

The grace of God which is also the holy spirit, produces an empowerment in a bid to lift us up in power. We enjoy edification and transformation as we are being lifted up by the power. If there be any weakness in us, shying away from God won't solve that problem, but consenting to the Father's warm embrace in such situation transforms us, and that's what he wants for us.

Now, if we come to him just as we are, we acknowledge our feebleness and how much we need his strength. No wonder the bible says my grace is sufficient for you. And for that matter my strength is  made perfect in weakness.

Grace has made it possible for you I to be welcomed in the presence of God. Surely, it is for our sake that grace and truth came. Grace understands us and is able to sympathize and empathize with us. Brethren, as we consent to the gracious love of God, we would obtain mercy for a renewed strength to get back on our feet to restart afresh in power. Shalom.

Word of Grace-Don't run away but run to God if you mess up

Don't run away but run to God if you mess up

          Act 13:22, 1Sam 17:37, Luk 15:21-24, 2Tim 2:13, Rom 2:4

Running away from God when we messed up? No!  The parable of the prodigal son, reveals how God the Father,  always looks forward  to our return. God is always faithful to us in the midst of our unfaithfulness. The state of our hearts  matters a lot in our relationship with him. David had a typical heart seeks the presence of God even though he had his weaknesses.

The goodness of the Lord always lead us to change of mind. You maybe reasoning within, I don't worth the forgiveness of God because the mess is too disastrous. Whenever we conceive that thought, we are magnifying the offense above the sacrifice. But in reality the sacrifice is always greater than the offense. Our ability to return to God, confirms the truth that already we re forgiven in Christ.

I pray we receive the courage to rise up and return to God no matter our situation. God is always waiting for us with opened arms to show us even much more love in our lowest points for a better relationship with him. Shalom.

Word of Grace -Jesus is our fortress.

                                               Jesus is our fortress.

                                          Ps 18:2, Prov 18:10, Rom 1:17

A fortress is a stronghold or a secured point, where resolute defense, safety and security is assured. Those found in it are not susceptible to any form of attack in anyway. This is how the name of Jesus is to the born-again. our protection comes from the Lord.

Every born again is declared righteous in Christ. The bible says, the name of the Lord becomes fortress for the righteous, he is saved and secured in it.  You may wonder, am I righteous enough to enjoy this divine protection from the Lord? The answer is double yes if you believe. It is written, the righteous shall live by faith.

Finally, the  Bible says the righteous runs into the fortress,  but in fact every born again is in Christ, in other words we just don't run into the fortress, we re found in it. As we hold onto this truth,  it will help us to stand firm and live life victoriously in every area of our lives. Shalom.

Words of Grace- Let see ourselves in light of the spirit

Let see ourselves in light of the spirit

                                         2 Corinthians 5:14-17

Be controlled by the love of God, for out of love Jesus died for all so that we might live for him. Whoever lives for Christ has received the life of Christ and he is led always by the life. This is how the Bible tells us to see ourselves. It is written, henceforth we know no one according to the flesh, why? Because we are found in Christ. God wants us to be conscious of our position in him. This helps us to maintain our focus in our walk with him as believers in fellowship.

The way we regard ourselves is how we find ourselves. There is power in that. Anytime we choose to see ourselves in Christ we are expressing faith which is right believing. This empowers to live as such.

Brethren, When Christ was flesh we saw him as such and when he turned, we did likewise. The Bible encourages us to regard ourselves in the right way and that's regarding ourselves not according to the flesh but the spirit.

Words Of Grace- Let the hope of God erupts in you

Let the hope of God erupt in you

               Heb 6:1-12, Jere 29:11, 2Cor 3:12, Tim 1:1

Hope is a desire for something good in the future.  In the ordinary when we express this hope we express uncertainty rather than certainty. "I hope I make it to the meeting on time." Meaning I'm not sure I will get to the meeting on time but I wish I get there on time anyway. This is how we express hope in the normal sense. But the hope of God which is built on Jesus' blood and his righteousness though is also a desire for something good, has more to it. It is a confident expectation that all that God has planned for us will surely happen.

There's an assurance in the hope of God, for in hope we inherit the promise. When God says he will give us an expected end it is actually hopeful end. That is all things shall be well with us in accordance with his promise.

This morning whatever you are going through, however the situation is, don't torture yourself for all is not lost.  There's more in Christ for those who hope in God. May the grace of God erupts the hope of God in your heart to be able to wait on him for the appointed time. Shalom.

Word Of Grace-We walk by faith not by sight

We walk by faith not by sight

                                           2 Corinthians 5:6-8

As the deer pants for the water, so do we long to be with the Lord our Father. This always manifest in our desire to live outside the body through faith as we close in at the Father's feet. We're conscious of the fact that to be away from the body is to be with the Lord. This is made possible by faith and not by sight. The things we see are temporal and surely they will pass away. But the unseen things are real and eternal.

Brethren, every good thing the  world has, the believer has them in abundance. There is always much more to all that have been given to us. Living by faith place us beyond the world. Thus ours isn't just happiness but joy. Our blessings are supernatural. Ours isn't luck but favour. We don't live after chances but we look forward to an expected end. Our hope isn't like that of the unbelievers but our hope is certain, knowing that joy will surly come in the morning.

May the grace of God help us all to walk by faith to enjoy the glorious aftermath. I expect to see you at the top in all your endeavours as you trust in the name of Jesus. Amen

Word of Grace-Pay attention to the message of Christ.

Pay attention to the message of Christ

                                      Jere 29:11, Rom 10:17, Joh 6:35

The messages we feed on or pay attention to is very important because they have effects on us. They either  result in life or death. It is only the knowledge of Christ that gives life. All others lead to death. And you either become hopeful or fearful in life base on what you pay attention to.

As children of God who always seek to grow in Christ, we can only feed on his message to remain confidence in our walk with him. The Bible says, faith comes by hearing the message of Christ which is the good news, that always seek to build our confidence as we look forward to the expected end.

This morning what kind of report have you? What kind of thought has gotten into you? Do you sense fear? These reports, thoughts and fear all spell no hope. Please don't pay attention to them. But fix your thought on the message of Christ. For in there, God has better things for us; to give us expected end which is hope of victory in the end. Shalom!

Word of Grace-The time of the exceeding grace of God

The time of the exceeding grace of God.

                                      Eph 2:6-8, Rom 5:17, 20, Acts 2

After being raised to life with Christ, there's more! God said now is the time that I will show you exceeding grace. Now Grace is unmerited favour of God. And its derived from the Greek word Charis which means "that which brings delight, joy, happiness and good news". Grace is also the divine empowerment to function in the power of the of the Holy Spirit. This was the same spirit given on the day of Pentecost for the salvation of three thousand souls.

Now why is God showing us exceeding grace ? This is because we have been raised to life with Christ who is the person of grace. So it is important we continue in the grace to experience the much more life in return. This good news is irrevocable, for is it independent on us and dependent on God's finished work through Christ.

The era of God's grace is here, so never relent in case you mess up. It is the moment you need the grace which is relentless, limitless, boundless, surpassing, extraordinary, extravagant and  exceeding to rise and stand renewed and unique before God. Shalom.

Words of Grace- Fear not, for God will show you unkindness.

Fear not, for God will show you unkindness.

                              2Sam 9:7, Heb 12:2, Eph 2:7

And David said, is there anyone left in the house of Saul that i may show kindness for the sake of Jonathan? Behold there was one man left called Mephibosheth, who was crippled with no hope. David fullfilled the convenant he had with Jonathan by showing unusual kindness to Mephibosheth his son. Mephibosheth became the benefactor of his father's good works.

Brethren, this is our situation as we have come to believe in Christ. Mephibosheth might have done some good things in life but still he lived hopelessly. But when his helper showed up all of a sudden his life effortlessly changed for the better. Our blessedness is based on what Christ did. Our faith in him propels us to live this blessed life.

This hour wherever you find yourself, be encouraged to live worthy of your calling not as to what you can do but according to the finished work of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who is the author and the finisher of our faith. In him only we have obtained mercy and grace to receive the kindness and the blessings we enjoy from God today.  Shalom.
