Let the hope of God erupt in you
Heb 6:1-12, Jere 29:11, 2Cor 3:12, Tim 1:1
Hope is a desire for something good in the future. In the ordinary when we express this hope we express uncertainty rather than certainty. "I hope I make it to the meeting on time." Meaning I'm not sure I will get to the meeting on time but I wish I get there on time anyway. This is how we express hope in the normal sense. But the hope of God which is built on Jesus' blood and his righteousness though is also a desire for something good, has more to it. It is a confident expectation that all that God has planned for us will surely happen.
There's an assurance in the hope of God, for in hope we inherit the promise. When God says he will give us an expected end it is actually hopeful end. That is all things shall be well with us in accordance with his promise.
This morning whatever you are going through, however the situation is, don't torture yourself for all is not lost. There's more in Christ for those who hope in God. May the grace of God erupts the hope of God in your heart to be able to wait on him for the appointed time. Shalom.
