Word of Grace-Don't run away but run to God if you mess up
Don't run away but run to God if you mess up
Act 13:22, 1Sam 17:37, Luk 15:21-24, 2Tim 2:13, Rom 2:4
Running away from God when we messed up? No! The parable of the prodigal son, reveals how God the Father, always looks forward to our return. God is always faithful to us in the midst of our unfaithfulness. The state of our hearts matters a lot in our relationship with him. David had a typical heart seeks the presence of God even though he had his weaknesses.
The goodness of the Lord always lead us to change of mind. You maybe reasoning within, I don't worth the forgiveness of God because the mess is too disastrous. Whenever we conceive that thought, we are magnifying the offense above the sacrifice. But in reality the sacrifice is always greater than the offense. Our ability to return to God, confirms the truth that already we re forgiven in Christ.
I pray we receive the courage to rise up and return to God no matter our situation. God is always waiting for us with opened arms to show us even much more love in our lowest points for a better relationship with him. Shalom.
