Listen to him
Matthew17:1-7, Philippians 4:13, Romans1:17, 5:20
The transfiguration of Jesus also tells us why he is the beloved son. Moses and Elijah played a key role in the quest for redemption, but God let off these two when they met with Jesus. He was declared supreme above them all. God said listen to him for he is the one I'm well pleased.
The law and the prophet indeed gave way to liberty. Now grace and truth have become the fulfillment of the law and the numerous prophecies. All these lead us to the point where we could be saved through faith in the final works of grace and truth.
Where is our focus? On the law or the prophet? The law reveals how bankrupt we are. The prophecies gave hope of the coming of the Messiah, and grace opens up to us how we are made completely right with God. This is our new life, and our ability to live right in this life comes from believing that through Christ we can do all things. Let's focus on grace for it is written listen to him. Shalom.
