Luke 22:19-20
"And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, 'This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.'"
The Last Supper, where Jesus shared his final meal with his disciples, holds deep significance for us as believers. It was a moment of communion and fellowship, where Jesus imparted important lessons to his disciples as he left us with a powerful symbol of his sacrifice and love.
Brethren, in this simple act of breaking bread and sharing of wine, Jesus would establish the sacrament of Holy Communion, inviting us to partake in his body and blood as a way to remember and draw closer to him.
It is a time of remembrance, as we recall the great sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross for our sins and a time of communion, as we share in his divine presence
